I founded Sonnenklar Law to make criminal defense more affordable, aggressive, and accessible. With a decade of experience across every level of the criminal justice system, I focus on direct, transparent representation — no middlemen, no confusion, and no wasted time.

After earning my Juris Doctor from the University of Miami School of Law in 2014, where I participated in International Moot Court and the Immigration Clinic, I began my career as an Assistant Public Defender in Key West. There, I represented hundreds of indigent clients facing serious felony charges, conducted jury trials, and fought for justice in and out of the courtroom.

Since entering practice, I have handled more than 1,300 criminal cases, ranging from misdemeanors to life felonies. I opened Sonnenklar Law in 2019 to modernize the legal experience, using technology to streamline communication, reduce confusion, and keep costs down — while delivering aggressive advocacy when it matters most.

As a sole practitioner, I personally manage every case. I move quickly, explain the legal process clearly, and work hard to achieve the best possible outcome.

Before law school, I earned my Bachelor’s degree in International Affairs from The George Washington University’s Elliott School, focusing on Conflict & Security and Latin America. I’ve also served in a range of roles from litigation support to legal research and teaching — always with a focus on empowering others.
